The Merrill Commerce Center (MCC) in Ontario is a major master-planned industrial and logistics district that continues to shape regional goods movement and roadway operations. TJW Engineering worked closely with the development team and the Cities of Ontario and Chino to support the transportation needs of this multi-phase project, preparing approximately ten traffic signal designs, temporary traffic signal plans, and comprehensive construction phasing and traffic control plans for roadway improvements and master-planned utility installations. TJW also prepared signing and striping plans for both interim and ultimate roadway configurations, ensuring that each phase of construction maintained reasonable operations and clear circulation for all users. Our team provided ongoing construction support throughout the implementation process, coordinating with contractors and City staff to address field conditions and maintain consistency with agency standards. TJW continues to assist with transportation design and operational needs as the MCC area builds out.
