TJW recently completed the Citywide Traffic Signal Upgrade Project via an on-call engineering services contract with the City of Lake Forest. TJW prepared the plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for approximately 75 signalized intersections needing upgrades to meet the latest California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD) standards. The existing equipment included, but not limited to:

• Painting of existing signal heads, signal cabinets, splice cabinets, or service pedestals
• Replacement of service pedestals or splice cabinets
• Replacement of faded or broken IISNS panels
• Installation of an EVP system
• Replacement of existing pedestrian signal heads with LED countdown pedestrians signal heads
• Replacement of pedestrian push buttons with ADA compliant push buttons
• Replacement of traffic signal heads
