The Avion Burbank business park is a landmark mixed-use development in Burbank, CA, located on a 60-acre site adjacent to the Hollywood Burbank Airport and planned to support creative industrial space, offices, retail, hospitality, and multimodal access. TJW Engineering worked with the design and development team, the City of Burbank, and the County of Los Angeles to prepare traffic engineering designs for the project. TJW prepared plans for three signalized intersections, modified lane configurations and operations along the primary project frontage on North Hollywood Way, and incorporated a Class IV cycle track to support bicycle connectivity. TJW also prepared signing, striping, and traffic control plans addressing both interim and ultimate conditions and supporting phased construction. TJW’s involvement established a cohesive circulation system that integrates vehicular, bicycle, pedestrian, and transit movements throughout the Avion campus and surrounding corridors.
